I am an illustrator and writer who specializes in whimsical slightly offbeat stories. 

I grew up in the Steel town of Pueblo, CO which is a multicultural landscape. My time was spent either exploring the prairies around my house or drawing the daily comic strips.

 

I received my BFA from Colorado State University. After graduating I’ve drawn illustrations for newspapers, magazines and books. I have been a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators since 2008. 

 

I am passionate about making illustrations for children. As a one-time poor reader I understand that the illustrations must be as powerful as the copy in conveying the story being told.
